Dalia Grybauskaitė is the current President of Lithuania. Inaugurated in 2009 and re-elected in 2014, she is the country’s first female President and the first to be elected for a second term.
This “Iron Lady” was Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Finance, and also the European Commissioner for Financial Programming and the Budget from 2004-2009.
Outside her office, the president has a black belt in karate. The strength, endurance, discipline, and ambition of that sport have certainly proven helpful in the area of policy making, too!
